My cousin recommended this blog and she was totally right keep up the fantastic work!
Hi Emily,
Was at the Nip n Tipple over the wkend and saw the craft fair posters. Although I live in Bury, Im hoping to pop down. Just a query though, I finally had to give up work last Dec due to my M.E. coming back with a vengeance and paralysing me. I got back into my arts n crafts and just wondered how it works doing some fair like this. I have no idea if ita any good or not but want to start a portfolio. I would love to do a fair like this more just to get some unbiased response to my work but have no idea where to start! If you have a few mins and some advice, it would be highly appreciated.
Thanks and hope to get to the fair, (fingers crossed I’ll be having a good day!!)
Anja
Hi Anja,
That sounds debilitating and difficult to manage. Art and crafts are a good way of generating income, so what you’re doing sounds really positive. Perhaps we could meet up for a coffee?? If you bring some of your items, maybe I could come up with some ideas for you and we could discuss portfolio presentation options. I can explain what happens at the craft fairs and you can maybe be involved in the next one.
I’m really happy to share what has worked for me and any ideas I can generate! I look forward to meeting you – one day next week would be good for me, or the week after. Also, if you’re not well we can re-arrange on the day if you feel you can’t make it.
Emily
