Art Classes Denton / Levenshulme

Thank you to the Tameside Advertiser for their great review in this week’s paper.  From this I’ve had loads studio visits and a few requests for art classes, amongst other things.  I’m keen to know if this is something that you would like.  Suggestions for a venue are:  Dane Bank (Denton) community Centre, My Studio here in Denton or POD in Levenshulme.  The idea is to hold a class with a relaxed atmosphere where we can come together and share thoughts, with more experienced artists and painters supporting beginners or less experienced people.

Materials and Refreshments

I will provide the materials required and there will be a small fee of around £3 per session (2hrs?) to cover costs.  I do like to bake, so I will try to make sure we’ve got something nice to eat after or during the ‘class’ as part of the session charge.

Please email me or drop into the studio if you feel this is something you’d like to take part in.  I’d be really interested in finding out who you are, what your interests are and when you would like a class – evenings or daytimes, or a mixture of both!

I am at present attending a watercolour class in Ashton. I have been going once a week for about 3 years now. I would be interested in using other mediums and would be very interested in joining a class in Denton. Preferably during the day but evenings would be ok.
I still class myself as a beginner, I cannot say I have improved much over the years. However before I started I was afraid to put paint to paper!! I have got beyond that now, just.
Any info regarding a class would be gratefully received.
Thanks
Carole

Hi Carole,

Thanks for post. I’m just in the process of organising my show at POD and hope to start a class within the next few weeks once the opening event has taken place. I will contact you next week to let you know some dates and will also post information on the website too. Please feel free to come to the show at POD in Levenshulme and have a chat with me on Friday 22nd: 6-9pm.
I look forward to meeting you.

Hi Emily

I was looking online to see if anywhere local was offering evening art classes in the New Year, and came across this comment page and saw some fo your amzing pieces.

Did you set up any classes, or do you have plans to do so in the Denton area? I am interested in learning more about different verities of art, and your work appeals more than the tradional life classes that seem to be on offer everywhere. I have never tried a class as yet, and would love to do so if you have one.

Many thanks

Jenni

Hi Jenni,

Thank you for your message. I am in the process of setting up a class and hope to be able to give you some dates within the next week. If you could let me know if evenings or daytimes are better for you that would be great. Emily
